Today Haiyaa introduce Haiyaa AllinOne exterior artwork prepress solution, it is a fully automatic 1SKU1Plate prepress solution for processing the exterior artwork and output the imposition PDF for offset or digital printing use finally. The target user of this solution is the hangtag printer who has dozens or hundreds of exterior artworks to prepress processing every day. This workflow will help the user to save a lot of time and improve working efficiency as well as decrease the error easily caused by manual editing.

It is combined with 2 parts:

1. Pre-Processing

- Outlining: Outlining all of artwork PDFs which has text format.
- Extract useful pages: Extract useful pages from a multiple page document which includes the artwork itself and its printing description pages.
- Extract front and back side: Extract the front and back side part to form a job file from the same page (one page) at any size.
- Edit color: Change the spotcolor to CMYK, or add a brand code as the suffix of the specified spotcolor name for better printing quality working with template setting in the DFE side of digital printer.
- Remove color: Remove the unnecessary marks, like the annotations and some guide lines.
- Crop the valid part: Crop or cut the valid part of artwork from a normal A4 or A3 size page according to die cut and bleeding setting.

2. Imposition & Output

- Imposition: 1SKU1Plate, adding all of imposition remarks, such as job descriptions, color bar, cropmark, quantity, sheets, date, registration line…etc.

- Plates output: All elements included plate, and at the same time output separately the plates for printing, die cut, crease, deboss, blue foil, gloss UV…etc.

- Job ticket: Output the job ticket file package with printing copies and ticket template that is very useful for automatically digital printing that follows.

Haiyaa will introduce its new generation label gang imposition solution, LabelImposer. This new solution will help the label producer who have over hundreds of jobs every day to finish the imposed print PDF automatically using hot folder workflow. Inside the solution, it also has an optimized paper selection engine for each individual job and has all of the preparation for connecting with the digital die-cutter.

The requirement description is here:

Suppose you are a label producer who has over 10k orders every month. Most of jobs are short-run with different size and different quantity.

Using the general desktop publish software, it will cost a lot of man power to process the imposition. Sometime, due to most of the jobs are short-run, gang imposition in the paper path direction is nearly impossible by desktop publish software, thus it will have many label connection after printing and die-cutting by the operator manually. This will definitely cost more man power, time and waste too.

Suppose you have already bought the digital die-cutter. But die-cutting files are still being made manually. It will impact a lot in the smoothly connection between the digital printing and digital die-cutting.

Regard to paper selection, due to many jobs to be processed every day, it’s impossible to calculate the paper choice for every job in an economical way. Furthermore, it’s also impossible to make a sort printing. So there will have a big hidden waste of the paper and waste of printing fee charged.

Aiming at this issues and requirements, do we have a solution to improve?

Haiyaa LabelImposer is developed to satisfy above requirements. It is combined with Haiyaa TAGImposer R and Haiyaa TIConnector that are massively updated this time to fulfill the fully automation of short-run label gang imposition. Apart from smoothly workflow, with comparison to last generation TAGImposer R, there are many big difference as follows,

1) LabelImposer add a sorting processing configuration using the hot folders that are binded to the different size individual job file. The operator only needs to prepare the whole job Excel file with all of labels order collection with different QTY, drag this Excel file into the input hot folder; then after processing will be done in the background. The final outputs are PDFs that can be one SKU one PDF or gang imposition PDF combining different size SKU.

2) The solution provides the economical paper selection engine in two modes. Semi-automation and Full automation. We can support up to 5 different width paper setting for choice. Besides the software will display the most optimized paper setting for individual and the whole job, the operator can also be allowed to change the selection according to their paper stock and each job's delivery time.

3) The solution also provides a preparation to connecting digital printing with digital die-cutting. The die-cut file is made automatically from the imposed printing PDF. Its filename will be automatically added as one of the imposition remarks nearby the eyemark for future OCR reading.

This new type use a little bit larger size microfont to replace all of black squares in the normal QR. The microfont content can support Arabic number and capital letter. Haiyaa introduce new Microfont QR and Microfont 1D for security and brand protection.

Regard to Microfont QR, we overprint the microfont over the normal QR. This microfont can support CMYK and spot color. The best way is to use invisible ink to print microfont. thus under the normal light you see nothing. but under the UV light you can see microfont. If your digital printer can't support invisible ink, you can also use black ink to print the microfont, in the way it's better use colorful QR, the security level will be higher.

Regard to Microfont 1D, we can embed the microfont into the stripes of the 1D barcode. From the upper to bottom, left to right. The microfont can cover the whole barcode stripe or fill into some stripes. the length of the microtext in each stripe can be customized.

Haiyaa introduce TIConnector multitask manager for the gang imposition of the short-run labels which content can be fixed or variable.

It works with Haiyaa TAGImposer R gang imposition software. It connects the frontend data center by the input hot folder as the bridge and lets TAGImposer R to be the background gang imposition engine. Using TIConnector, the whole workflow of the gang imposition will become fully automation without the operator involved.

How to use TIConnector?
The first step is the operator uses TAGImposer R to set up a configuration file, and then uses TIConnector to establish a job which includes the information, such as input hot folder, output folder and above configuration file. When the job setting is done, start TIConnector and let it standby.

When the gang imposition order Excel file are dragged into the input hot folder, TAGImposer R will be triggered and start to work. After a while, the output imposed PDF will be generated in the output folder.

Who need it?
If you have a large number of short-run labels to print whatever the content is fixed or variable, TIConnector can help you to manage the job smoothly. More and more e-commence and web-to-print business model may also need this manager.

    [2020-07-11] Haiyaa introduce TrueRandom Plus which takes only 3 minutes to do repetition check for 200 million random data with 50-digit length
 
Haiyaa recently introduce TrueRandom Plus that is used to do repetition check for very big volume random data. Here very big volume means several hundred million data level per checking time.

Along with more and more fast moving consumer goods engaged in product promotion and track-trace. One label one unique data barcode is a must-do. How to guarantee the data unique is one of the most important considerations when the label printing. Several years ago, we developed nice TrueRandom to deal with this thing, but it is becoming not enough when the data volume goes to extremely high. Thus TrueRandom Plus with totally different algorithm is being under development.

In the past several years, we got many requirements for data safety during label printing. It always happen when the brand owner find repetition issue. It will become a terrible thing even a disaster sometime for the label producer, whatever this issue is caused by the original data given by the brand owner or happens during the printing. So we always suggest our customer to check the data in advance, don’t rely their confidence on the big name of their customers. It is the first step the ensure the data safety.

New TrueRandom Plus use different internal algorithm, after preset the file folder, when the new data file is input, it will compare the old data files and will give a check report after verification.

The key technology to do big volume random data repetition check is the speed. If it needs to take several hours to finish, it will be meaningless. Of course, the practical checking time is closely related to the data volume and data length. In our specification testing, 50-digit is only random data part, the front addition of fixed text like http link will not affect the whole processing time.

200 million random data with 50-digit just taking 3 minutes is tested on the general PC with 16GB memory. We are sure it can satisfy nearly 99% requirement on the market. Regard to much bigger and longer data, we will evaluate it as special case using customization.

Haiyaa introduce TAGproof for care label proofing, which technology is based on our previously developed TAGProof for hangtag proofing. It targets to both of single fold care label and folding care label. It will output imposition PDF for proofing usage according to presetting rules automatically and fast.

As we know, the most of care label producers use general desktop publishing software or simple label utility to layout the care label manually. After the main body designing is finished, they continue to impose each size label together manually in one or two pages for its customer’s proofing. This method takes time and it also easily lead to error.

Haiyaa cloth label production software is a widely used solution in the industry. The care label producers drive us to develop a proofing utility that can smooth the whole workflow and can help them increase the working efficiency without error.

Recently we make a big update to PDFVerifier. In addition to QR supported previously, now it can support Datamatrix as well as many popularly used 1D barcode types, such as EAN8, UPCE, ISBN10, UPCA, EAN13, ISBN13, Interleaved25, CODE39, CODE128..etc. Due to there exist interference caused by the color, font type and gap of the general text, so we still don’t support the text check inside this version. Since this update will expand the applications tremendously, so we release the news.

    [2019-01-10] Haiyaa upgrades TAGImposer R for the gang imposition of fixed content labels according to each quantity
 
When your client has prepared all of labels in PDF format, every day they place an order to you by an Excel file which includes the PO, Item and Quantity. There are many items but the printing volume for every item  is small. The client hopes you deliver in roll pack and there must have the separation labels  between the adjacent labels. Is this requirement a headache to you?

Haiyaa upgrades its TAGImposer R to serve this requirement during web printing. It's very easy to use and just need two steps.

First the operator set up the paper width and the cylinder length of the web press, e.g. HP Indigo WS6900, the cylinder length is 980mm, then set the gap of labels. If you want to narrow the gap between the die-cut lines, the software can adjust automatically according to your edge setting, thus you can print more labels in the same paper length. After setting, give a name to this configuration and save it for the future use.

The next step is to set the imposition marks, such as the upper and bottom registration mark, the eyemark, job title and real page size. The real imposition page length is not above 980mm. It is calculated out according to label size, gap setting and cylinder length dynamically. Besides you can customize the content displayed in the separation label between the adjacent labels. When the setting is done, save it for the repeated use in the future. What only changes in the future is the order file in Excel format.

Working with this upgrade, you can get the final imposition PDF with all of marks within 1-2 minutes. Then you send it to the digital printer to print out without any more setting on the printer server side.

In general there are two kinds of jobs adaptive to digital printing. One the variable data printing, the other is the short-run printing. If you have a lot of short-run jobs to print, how to smooth the workflow and shorten the job turnover time is very important. Otherwise even if the profit margin for every item label is high, the total job may be money lost. We have done many improvements in this time upgrade. The operation becomes more easily and the imposition logic is more fit to the practical workflow.

This upgrade supports not only single page PDFs but also 2-page PDFs. Furthermore it can process the gang imposition for multiple variable PDFs.

The solution targets to the user who has large number of short-run labels every day. The cloth sticker web printing is also its target since the gang imposition for small volume different SKU is a very popular and cost-effective way for cloth label printers.

When mass producing variable label and packaging, it is a severe accident if there is repetition or lost of QR code. When it happens, the producer will firstly suspect there must be some error of digital printer or the front VDP software.

Actually there are many factors and taches that will lead to QR repetition and lost. As the world leading VDP solution developer, today Haiyaa introduce its new PDFVerifier which is the first software to verify QR based on the original data at very high speed in the world. It is used to guarantee no repetition, lost and error of QR inside PDFs before they are sent to digital printer.

    [2018-04-23] Haiyaa introduce Multi-layer Variable QR
 
Recently Haiyaa developed a new type of QR code based on its standard format, which embeds more information in comparison with only barcode content. It is our second time big development to QR following on colorizing it five years ago.

QR is the most popularly used 2D type around the world. The initial purpose of colorizing QR is to make 2D attractive and later we found both of the color and its position sequence information can also be treated as an effective security checking reference. In the past several years, many software developers joined in the deformation development of the QR and now random colorful QR has become one of the popularly used effective security method as well as the eye-catching feature in the designing of label and packaging.

In this time multi-layer variable QR, we added three new features. The first feature is we dig empty the centered part of the QR and display it to variable shape, such as square, rectangle, rounded rectangle, circle, triangle…etc. At the same time, the empty part can be filled with variable or fixed text or image. The second feature is to fill the finder mark black square part with micotext and background color. The third feature is to layout colorful microtext around the finder mark.

Although this multi-layer variable QR is targeted to variable application, the first feature by digging empty the centered part of QR is also very useful for special effect QR production, such as there is a logo in the center of the QR which is very popular now. Using this technology, we can put the logo image into the background fixed content. It can save the printing time and output PDF size as well as shorten the ripping when the output file format is PPML or PDF/VT.

The development of multi-layer variable QR is a new try for us to enrich the display of QR. Working together with the previous 3 variable information that includes barcode content, barcode color, barcode color part position, this multi-layer QR have 6 variable information totally. Today Haiyaa release its new variable job processing component, Accelerator. Like the product naming, it will become an accelerator not only for the composing period but also for the ripping period. It aims at the label and packaging production with very big volume and very complex vector image background.

Along with the digital printer engine become more and more fast and the printing width become more and more wide, every digital printing user start to care about the prepress speed. How to improve prepress productivity has become a new big challenge. With the fully support of HP Indigo and Syntax, we finally finish the development of Accelerator. With the help of Accelerator, we hope the prepress time can catch up with the printer engine’s speed. The bottleneck will be no longer at the stage of prepress which here includes the composing and ripping periods.

The operation of Accelerator

Accelerator is an independent component. There are two ways to connect with Haiyaa existing variable data printing software, VariPrint.
The first way is using one hotkey click inside Accelerator, Accelerator will start VariPrint automatically without any other operation, after several minutes, you can get the final printing file in the output folder. The second way is using hot folder to connect with one or more sets of VariPrint. More sets of VariPrint can work offline in parallel and print full or partial variables to PDF in advance, and save to the hot folder that is also the input folder of Accelerator. Once Accelerator finds new PDFs appeared in the input folder, it will pick up them automatically and continue to process by inserting the rest of special variables and background. The first way is simple to use. The second way has better flexibility. The user can choose freely according to the job type.

Composing performance
The first way: If the foreground is with only variable colorful QR, from the data input to the file finally output, the total time is 15 minutes. If the foreground is with variable colorful QR plus dot pattern, the total time is 35 minutes.
The second way: If the foreground is with variable colorful QR and dot pattern, the processing time at VariPrint stage is 15 minutes. The processing time at Accelerator stage is 20 minutes. Theoretically if processing in parallel, it’s enough to use 1 set of VariPrint to process 1 million job. To ensure the productivity, we suggest use 2 sets of VariPrint at the composing stage.

Ripping performance
If the foreground is with only colorful QR, 1 million job can be printed into 1 PDF, the ripping time of this PDF at the HP Production Pro or HP L&P Printer Server is about 5 minutes.
If the foreground is with colorful QR and dot pattern, 1 million job can be printed into 8 PDFs separately, the total ripping time of 8 PDFs at the HP Production Pro or HP L&P Printer Server is about 40 minutes. With the special partition setting at the HP Production Pro, the total ripping time can shorten to about 20 minutes.

Accelerator is provided to Haiyaa VariPrint user as an optional module. It can’t work with the third party software in the current version. Its standard configuration is 8-process and can be upgraded to 16-process with additional cost if there are special needs. The PC configuration suggested is Solid State Drives, 16-process CPU for flexible expansion, the Windows OS only support Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10 x86/x64. It is well known EXPO 2015 is held in Milano, Italy. Its institutional logo is very creative and expressive. From the point of view of a professional being engaged in printing industry, we find that the logo color shade use overprint effect. We get the inspiration from this logo design and try to develop a new variable content with variable overprint color pattern. Haiyaa announce its newly developed OREO label in the All-in-Print China 2014. It is a completely new label integrating product tracking, authentication, lucky draw and credits into one label.

As you know, normal label has two layers which are bottom layer and surface layer. Haiyaa Oreo label has three layers, there are bottom layer, middle layer and surface layer. The compound of the middle and surface layer is unveiled as the label on the goods. Today Haiyaa release a digital pattern generator to produce the digital fibre pattern, which will be a replacement or solution extension of the real physical fibre pattern.

As you know, because of the random style, fibre pattern is used to do product authentication in last couple of years. But in the real production, it will increase the cost and time by making special paper embedded special color fibre, though it will cast a high bulwark against privacy. On the other hand, from the point of technical view, physical pattern is difficult to meet some special demands, such as fibre pattern inside in a defined space or shape.

Facing the drawbacks of the real fibre pattern, Haiyaa try to fulfill it in the digital way. Now the Haiyaa's fibre pattern has several special features and benefits.

1) It is a vector image, supporting CMYK and spot color. So it will ensure the high accuracy and resolution of the pattern printed by digital printers. All the elements in the pattern, such as color number and types, fibre number and thickness, can be customized. As it support spot color, so when using some type of digital printer, it is easy to produce sliver fibre, golden fibre and UV fibre. In the application side, it is easy for the brand owner to produce its own fibre pattern paper using its own VI color.
2) As Haiyaa's pattern is digital, so it has more application than the physical one, such as
a) It can be produced in a defined space or defined shape, such as inside the circle and star.
b) It has three ways to merge with fixed or variable text, such as the text is over the pattern, the pattern is over the text, both the text and the pattern is overprinted. The latter two can't be realized by the physical one.
c) There are two spread types of the pattern. One is the dispersed type simulating real fibre pattern, the other is evenly spread. The latter is useful when each character of the variable text need to cover a certain fibre. In the evenly spread, the fibre color and type are still variable and random.
3) The pattern production volume reference: Pattern size: 30x30mm, Quantity: 50K pieces, Output time is less than one minute.
4) Cut the cost tremendously. Except initial investment of Haiyaa pattern generator, there is no additional cost happening along with digital printing with other variables.

Besides the security application, the new digital fibre pattern can also be used to produce personalized document, such as personalized office paper, personalized greeting card, and personalized namecard.

HAIYAA VariPrint recently developed a new technology applying to compensate dot gain for 2D barcode in the digital printing, lets extremely mini size 2D barcode to be recognized smoothly.

Due to the limitation of labelling space or the cost, mini size label is widely used in certain kinds of products, such as electronics label, since the most of electronics components has very small size. In the traditional printing time, mini size 2D barcode can be produced by letterpress, but along with the digital printing, ink dot gain will become an obstacle, especially in the electronics ink and industrial inkjet application.

Regarding to the trend of label digital printing, Haiyaa developed a new pixel-based dot gain compensation technology, and a new EncodeOptimized 2D barcode encoding. The former guarantee the mini size 2D barcode readable, the latter lets the same size barcode to include more data, in other words, the same content barcode can reach to smaller.

Since mini size label often use DataMatrix (abbr. DM) as its 2D barcode, here we take Datamatrix as an example, using our new technology, we can produce the barcode to be smaller than 1.25 x 1.25 mm with 5 digits alpha-numeric (600dpi printing resolution). It can be recognized by industrial standard handheld 2D barcode scanner and special 2D barcode scanner.

Successfully producing the label document is one thing, how to rip and output in the digital printer is another thing. In the market, there are few utilities who claim having dot gain compensation function, but they always hang and barcode missing when ripping amounts of pages with thousands of labels on each page. Different from the previous VariPrint, apart from the variables designing, this version can drive inkjet printhead directly through embedded printing console. It is a very strong and easily operation VDP solution for industrial inkjet printing.

Along with the maturity of industrial inkjet technologies, many brand inkjet printer emerged. The system integrators developed the front end variable data layout utility to drive their hardware. But when the job becomes complex, this kind of utilities always appear not enough. Recently Haiyaa extends its microfont technologies creatively by adding random color and wave layout properties. It lets traditional pure black straight layout micotext to be more personalized and interesting as well as improving the anti reproduction feature.

The extended properties includes,
1) Let every microfont or every block microfont display in the preset color repeatedly, or let the microtext display color randomly.

2) Set amplitude to make the straight line micotext waving. Since the amplitude is within one to several pixel, the microtext still display in the straight line, but you can see waving effect using the magnifier.

Here we briefs our several existed microfont technologies:
1) Using pixel level microfont to avoid stroke overlap definitely.
2) Support RGB, CMYK and spot color mode. Due to our special small to 0.25mm height font, it is impossible to registration accurately by CMYK color mode. In the application of digital hangtag production, the biggest difficulties our customer feedback to us is the irregularity of data that the brand company sent to them. Excel, word, PDF are the formats they usually receive. What's worse is they often get fax and telephone as the order data. The printer worry about more manually cut-paste will lead to more error happen besides a lot of time it takes to integrate the data.

We understand this situation very much and try to satisfy it through developing many data integration utilities and providing customization service. But as a one-stop solution, we think we must provide the brand company an easily use way to input regular order data. VPDBMaker is the beginning towards to our target.

The special feature of the system is flexibility and generality. The user can customize the fieldname and field numbers according to the different project. Once they are set, the personalized data input interface will be generated automatically and purchase order template can also be designed. Thus after data input, the purchase order and database will be generated simultaneously.

The target user of VPDBMaker is the hangtag buyer. Regarding to the brand company having its own ERP or MIS system, Haiyaa are willing to provide DLL later for embed use.     [2012-01-18] Haiyaa VariPrint add its own microfont based on printer's resolution
 
As one of the improvement to HAIYAA's anti-counterfeit solution, we launch the pixel level microfont based on the printer's resolution today. Working with high resolution digital printers, it brings to you clearer and smaller variable microtext.

Previously the microtext is fulfilled by using 0.x pounds TrueType font. When setting to the extreme small size, the strokes will be merged sometimes since the no fractional pixel after ripping. Different from TureType microfont, our pixel level microfont is customized according to the printer's real resolution. Within HAIYAA VariPrint, the every dot of microtext represents one ink pixel. It can get the minimum microfont and avoid strokes merge error.

Now we can do:
1) In the 5x7 dot matrix, the height of microtext printed using HP Indigo reaches to 0.25mm, more less than the 0.4-0.5mm height of the microtext displayed in the normal check and credit card. In other words, if we set bigger dot matrix, the microtext will be clearer printed on the same resolution printer.
2) HAIYAA's microfont can be produce variable microtext, it support CMYK and spot color.
3) One set of microfont at 5x7 pixel 812dpi is built in the module. It includes A-Z, a-z 0-9 characters. The user can also design his own style microfont and import it to HAIYAA VariPrint using our packing utility attached. Thus he can get more personalized style microtext.
4) Limitation: Now the module only support layout at 0, 90, 180, 270 degree.

The module is provided as optional and used with HAIYAA VariPrint.

Haiyaa release variable latent image module today, which will bring a new anti-counterfeiting method to the industry. This technology is established based on variable pattern, now our solution supports only pure variable text and number.

Latent image technology isn鈥檛 new itself, it is used to print paper currency and securities with gravure machine a long ago. But in that application, the latent image is static. Along with the digital printer鈥檚 popularization, we got the requirement of variable latent image constantly. In order to meet this new demand, Haiyaa develop this easily use variable latent image module.

In fact, it is not very difficult for us to develop the module conforming to latent image theory. Before, we developed variable relief pattern and variable anti-copy module. These are all based on pattern technology. The tough job is how to find the optimized parameter adaptive to each model and brand of digital printer. This is the biggest difference between variable latent image printed in the digital printer and static latent image printed in traditional printer. Today Haiyaa release variable anti-copy module in the VariPrint. This module is a new anti-counterfeiting module developed to prevent unauthorized duplication of original document. It is a world leading solution combining both of variable data printing and anti-copy technologies. We are sure it will bring a new creative idea to commercial transaction and label printing as well as office secret document printing.
Our anti-copy technology is drawn from basic photocopy theory, that is the photocopier will get different result when copying the halftone picture with different line and dot size. Differing from other anti-copy product, as a professional VDP software developer, we add variable data concept into it. It leads to expand the anti-copy application to many new industry use and increase the cost of unauthorized duplication tremendously.

Besides variable technology input, we also develop a new method to response manually density setting when copying. Whatever light or dark setting, the hidden security text can be eventually displayed.

Furthermore, Haiyaa Variable software build in many logic function, That can help produce the hidden text with more complicated logic. This is a feature other solution haven't.

Along with the increasing demand for photo mask in the ID card making, today Haiyaa add special mask function in the VariPrint. The mask result of this function is the same as that processed in PhotoShop. The edge of the head photo is totally transparent. Since we use new algorithm, the output speed is the same as general variable image. This technology will increase the working efficiency of ID card with photo mask, that will bring new opportunity to professional card producer.

This technology can be also applied in cloth label and hangtag production, especially with shoe transparent and out-of-shape washing icon overlapped on full color or pure color background.

Regarding to no EFI Fiery or the RIP without PPML support environment, how to increase the efficiency of printing variables plus template simultaneously is a tough problem for many digital printing providers, especially for multi-page template. If you own Haiyaa VariPrint, of course, it is not a problem. But for many third party VDP or label making software buyer, it will be a low efficiency process when printing variables plus template using these application. Targeting to this kind requirement, Haiyaa develop VPPDFFreeForm PDF overlap merge utility. This utility is easily to use. Just select variable PDF and template PDF separately, whatever the template file is one page or multiple pages, then click "Merge", you can get merged file in the destination folder after several minutes. It is now a manually operation utility. We can also customize it to hot folder solution.

    [2010-06-26] Haiyaa VariPrint unveils support to variable vector image at high processing speed
 
Haiyaa VariPrint unveils support to variable vector image. This strong function sweep away the obstacle of applying variable vector image by overcoming snail speed in using some other variable solutions. We are sure this technology will bring more innovative personalized effect to digital printing.

In the practical variable production, 99% variable images are in RGB TIFF or JPEG format, the small part use CMYK images. So the most of variable data printing applications and nearly all of the label makers only support RGB TIFF or JPEG. Along with the segmentation of VDP, variable vector image is becoming more useful in some particular applications and thus Haiyaa develop to respond to this increasing demand.

1.Technical derivation from PPML concept
Actually Haiyaa VariPrint already support EPS variable image through PPML, but in the practical usage, we saw two kinds of situation. One is many digital printers, especially many B/W printer doesn't support PPML. The other situation is many operators of the digital printer with PPML function haven't enough knowledge of PPML. They like to merge all of variable elements to PDF in the front end. Therefore, Haiyaa hopes to fulfill PPML concept in the front VariPrint. Although the working efficiency of this workflow can't match PPML operation in the RIP side, its benefit is that this method is adaptive to all of printers with or without PPML support. On the other side, the operator hasn't to involve in PPML in the RIP side since every thing is merged to a PDF file by VariPrint.

2. High processing speed 
Comparing to some variable plug-ins under the professional layout software, as we apply PPML concept, our process is totally different from their very slow speed situation. The new version VariPrint can get higher speed in processing vector image than JPEG image. Since most of our customers are in production use, so the speed is always one of the most important consideration to our development.

Recently Haiyaa VariPrint variable data printing software is installed in the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication (BIGC) as the default VDP application for the education and its national digital printing lab use. This is the second time adoption by the professional printing education organization after VariPrint was selected by College of Communication and Art Design, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) in 2008. In order to give thanks to BIGC and record this event, we issue this news release. [2010-04-20] Haiyaa unveils new PDF output workflow of VariPrint
 
Haiyaa unveil new version of VariPrint with its own PDF output workflow. Using this version, the user can save cost and optimize the whole workflow. Haiyaa use this version to strengthen its entrance in European market.

Comparing with the previous version, there are four new key features.

1. The new version can support PDF template input and final PDF output without Acrobat full version. The user doesn't need to install Acrobat full version since then. It will cut the cost.
2. Speed up the PDF printing and decrease the size of final PDF, especially in variables plus template printing.
3. Enrich the TIF output. It can setup single page or multipage TIF, 1-bit TIF or multicolor TIF. It can also set many compress mode. Furthermore, it can setup resolution to X and Y separately. This option is very useful to industrial inkjet printing application.
4. Use Haiyaa's own PPD to print out PS file. Comparing with PPDs along with digital printer, HAIYAA.PPD can be used to print imposition page without size limitation.

Beside above main new features, there are another several improvements in the new version, such as we add full color and spot color support in dynamic font properties and dynamic box properties, it will produce more new variable data printing application, especially together with the digital printer with full color and spot color support.

In the VDP market, many label printing software only support RGB and they are usually used to print serial number and popular barcode. Haiyaa unveils creative full random verification code anti-counterfeit solution. This is a world leading technology which will give many manufacturers a new way to protect their product and service.

The idea of Haiyaa's verification code anti-counterfeit technology comes from PIN (personal identification number) concept when login in on the website. But considering digital printing, the operation and its display of our technology is totally different from PIN in the internet.

There are several features showing the full random technologies.
1. The original data of verification code can be serial number, the combination of random characters through logic processing or the random combination of fixed pattern pictures. The content of the verification code can not be the true original data, instead it is from the result of encryption of source data.
2. The characters in the code picture is in the form of random status or the combination of random and regularity. The latter ensures the best recognize.

Haiyaa unveils VPPos middleware to integrate VariPrint into third parties' label production workflow. It is combined with two parts, one is embedded in VariPrint, the other is a utility called VPPosDesigner. First using VariPrint to make project file for every label, then using VPPosdesigner to create VPPos description file (ini or xml format) which have many project files information. Send VPPos file to third parties's workflow for processing, Afterward, the third workflow send revised VPPos file back, which will be used by VariPrint to print to final document.

VPPos is a middelware which is only provided to third workflow developer instead of enduser. VPPos is very important to Haiyaa, it will smooth the whole label production and make a new automation label production workflow.

[2009-04-28] Haiyaa announces variable underpainting technology for anti-counterfeiting application
Haiyaa annouces new variable underpainting technology for anti-counterfeiting application. With this technology, variable text, such as serial number will be hided in the gray underpainting and is only visible with special shading film instead of human eyes.

We provide total solution to produce variable underpainting and corresponding shading film. In the software, we have both of line and halftone underpainting default setting. The user can customize its own underpainting pattern by adjusting density of dot gain and line gap. We can also customize for the customer by selecting special pattern when they place the order. That will lead to more secrecy and more difficulty to duplicate.

Besides special pattern, we have six layouts of variable text, which include straight line, diagonal, circular, ellipse, sine, abnormity text. If abnormity text is selected, the user can input letter, for example L, then final variable text will arrange along with figure L.
