How to solve the problem of output only 1 page?
The software only outputs one page, which is a protection mechanism of VariPrint to avoid waste accidents caused by printing errors.
There are primarily three reasons for triggering this protection mechanism. Operators are requested to conduct a thorough investigation based on these reasons, and not to disregard the error alarm prompts!
The currently opened data file is missing fieldnames. When opening the MPD job file, associating it with the data file, and clicking the V button to preview, an error appear due to missing fieldnames. This means that the old MPD job file is being used, and a certain fieldname is set in the old MPD, but this fieldname does not exist in the currently opened data file. Solution: 1) delete the relevant setting items in the MPD, or 2) add a corresponding fieldname in the currently opened data file, with the data content being empty.
A certain type of font is missing in the current computer system. When opening an MPD job file, linking to a data file, and clicking the V button for preview, an error appear due to missing fonts. The reason is that the previously designed MPD file may be on another computer and use some font types, and after moving it to this computer, the required fonts were not copied over and not existed. Solution: 1) Delete the relevant settings items in the MPD that use this font, or 2) Add the fonts to the Windows/Fonts folder on this computer.
If the variable box width and height settings are set too narrow or too low, although all text can be seen in the preview on the desktop, only one page will be printed. There will also be error prompts during printing, because there is a difference between the font preview and the actual font, which has a blank area around it. The software calculates the appropriate width and height of the box based on the actual font with the surrounding blank area. If this automatic check is not needed, it can be turned off.
How to to turn it off, open the Setting.ini file in the software installation folder and change EXCEED_TEXTBOXSIZE_WARNING=0 (EXCEED_TEXTBOXSIZE_WARNING is used to control whether to alert when the text in the black T and OTF controls exceeds the box width and height for customization. The default value is 1, indicating to alert, and 0 indicates not to alert. The text height here will be calculated including the space around the characters, rather than just the visible part.)
